• Samuel's fixation on Konrad is an attempt to appropriate and replace Konrad's dynasty and authority.

• By the Sylvan endgame, Konrad knows the breeding program and participating bloodlines have been targeted badly enough that he understands his own decisions made the abuse possible.
• Konrad is in hiding or severe isolation because he is ultimately responsible for creating and surrendering control of the system Samuel weaponized.
• Sylvan suspects Samuel is continuing to blackmail or control Konrad through one or more proxies.

Current working direction

Konrad's knowledge remains materially incomplete. He may not know that Samuel targeted every participating bloodline or recognize that the system-wide campaign was a coup intended to appropriate Konrad's dynasty, followers, and authority. This partial knowledge explains both his withdrawal and Samuel's panic when Sylvan reveals that the full pattern is documented.

Konrad remains culpable as the architect and protector of the original program. His later targeting does not convert him into an innocent victim.
