Project Explorer Current State Integration

Goal

Update the public Project Explorer so the landing page answers what is happening now, not only what the story contains.

Source-of-truth design

The explorer will read:

  • 07 Coordination/Story Completion Workflow/CURRENT.md for the current sweep, task, completion count, and required author action;
  • 08 Story Loop/Brainstorms/CURRENT-EXPERIMENTAL-IDEAS.md for the active creative-possibilities packet;
  • the packet for idea-review totals, completed research, a short possibility preview, and the recommended first author gate.

The interface remains read-only. It summarizes the vault but owns none of the state. Experimental ideas remain non-canon until explicit author approval.

Interface thesis

Treat the explorer as a restrained editorial console in the existing near-black and antique-gold visual language. Current progress uses evidence-green, unresolved author gates remain visibly distinct, and the ideas preview points into the full review workspace instead of duplicating it.

Result

Added a live current-state section to the main Project Explorer. It now shows:

  • 9 / 27 Macro Shape tasks complete;
  • SC-010 as the active author-gate task;
  • the exact current Question 5 decision;
  • 10 experimental ideas awaiting review;
  • 5 / 5 research tracks complete;
  • a three-idea preview and the recommended first ideas gate;
  • direct paths to the complete Progress and Experimental Ideas workspaces.

The stale CURRENT.md next-action line was reconciled with SC-010, Current Pickup, the task packet, and the weekly completion checklist.

Verification

  • live Markdown parsers return 9 / 27 progress, 10 unreviewed ideas, and 5 / 5 completed research tracks;
  • semantic render contains one main landmark and one page heading;
  • desktop visual review completed at 1440 px;
  • mobile review completed at 320 px with no horizontal overflow;
  • no browser console errors;
  • all changed JavaScript passes syntax checks;
  • the non-canon author boundary remains visible beside the ideas summary.

2026-08-29 delayed weekly close integration

The delayed August 27 Thursday synthesis was completed after the latest GitHub state was fast-forwarded into the desktop vault. The public Docs landing page and PHP Project Explorer now surface the spoiler-safe weekly finding: development has shifted from broad world expansion toward causal story completion, ordered discovery, bounded permission testing, and scene extraction.

The full internal synthesis remains authority-labeled in 07 Coordination/Weekly Synthesis/Runs/2026-08-27/. A separate public report in 05 Public/Weekly Reports/ omits the concealed containment deal, hierarchy mechanics, protected evidence, lineage details, and final cooperation condition.
