Score 0–3: absent, partial, workable, ready for scene/chapter planning.

Ready for development packet

  • Orzai's professional refusal, once the author chooses project and cost.
  • A bounded unemployment/Luminai baseline episode, if conscious-presentation rules are kept provisional.
  • Konrad's first refused retreat, after choosing the concrete institutional/military crisis.
  • Samuel's impossible-mission conversation as a non-canon test, while exact wording and record remain proposed.

Needs structural work

S-002–S-004, S-008, S-010, S-013–S-016, and S-017–S-022. These carry the main causal burden and should not be disguised with polished prose before their mechanisms exist.

Interesting ideas without story infrastructure

  • the four governance schools as active political actors;
  • hundreds of heirs as a future cross-imperial cohort;
  • Samuel Jr./Orzai's brother institutional collision;
  • Disclosure Wars placement;
  • artificial moon engineering;
  • rejuvenation procedures;
  • many of the sixteen middle milestone titles.

These are valuable but should not displace the critical path.

Minimum decisions before prose

For a full novel outline: viewpoint architecture, modern inciting event, Witness identity/path, S-008 mechanism, Luminai capability/limit, terminal control rule, first hidden-actor proof, public audience/privacy threshold, victory cost, and final states.

For the first short handwritten fiction experiment: choose one bounded episode with a complete local objective, setting, reversal, consequence, and later connection. Orzai's professional refusal is currently the lowest-dependency option; the impossible-mission conversation is the strongest antagonist option but carries more unresolved authority.
