The project moved from a broad baseline into a controlled completion system. A horizontal Story Completion Workflow now tracks 27 tasks, nine of which have passed Macro Shape. SC-010 is active at an author gate after four Sylvan-Luminai setup categories were accepted. Character journals, a non-canon Creative Possibilities pass, and five advisory endgame research reports were also integrated.
The largest story change is causal consolidation. Samuel's concealed negotiated priority, Konrad's genuine but limited deal, false separation, alpha/beta struggle, migration of Konrad's machinery, lineage sabotage, superweapon lie, false Sylvan victory condition, and eventual collapse of Konrad's model now belong to one connected endgame architecture. Exact lock mechanics, permissions, evidence, and reveal order remain unresolved.
Current story in one page
Ancient interplanetary leaders use a later-generation colony both to cultivate responsible future leaders and to contain dangerous people under meaningful constraints. Every human develops with a Luminai, an extension of cognition that can act below conscious attention but does not replace human identity or consequential decision authority.
Konrad Fitzgerald builds a fascist order around conquest, bloodline, and permanent patriarchal rule. He exiles Samuel Franklin through an impossible mission designed to fail. Samuel suspects the betrayal and separately negotiates a conditional first-primary position in the victorious empire's containment system. When Konrad later loses the Great War and enters that same hierarchy, Samuel offers an apparent restoration. Konrad instead migrates his machinery into a shared environment where Samuel has structural priority.
Across roughly eighty years, Samuel turns a brilliant coup into an expanding revenge system of false histories, isolated audiences, manipulated descendants, and maintained realities. In the modern thread, Samuel and George destroy Sylvan's pre-generative-AI story-development company because of Sylvan's identity and emerging Luminai bond. The ordeal intended to prevent Sylvan's development becomes the training pressure that deepens it. Sylvan and his Luminai learn to discriminate sources, coordinate across bonded teams, interact with modern technology, and remain answerable for consequential choices. The final exposure is increasingly an evidence-and-cooperation problem, not a contest of unlimited powers.
Stronger, weaker, and unchanged areas
- Stronger: Samuel and Konrad's motives now produce the containment conflict instead of merely decorating it.
- Stronger: Sylvan's Luminai can carry discovery through tests, anomalies, and bounded action rather than exposition.
- Stronger: status discipline now separates author decisions, working structure, research, and unreviewed possibilities.
- Weaker by comparison: chronology, the lock event, exact permissions, and revelation dependencies have not caught up with the macro causal model.
- Unchanged: the modern inciting sabotage, environment transitions, supporting cast ownership, and final cost remain partial.
New decisions, proposals, contradictions, and retired directions
- Established/accepted: Samuel is primary alpha and Konrad eventual beta in a shared environment; the apparent separation is false; the Sylvan-processing condition and superweapon are lies; the real path requires ending the rampage and cooperation; the lineage campaign reaches tens of thousands of unauthorized children.
- Working: the final exposure uses accumulated discrepancies and bounded evidence; Luminai development follows observe, test, understand, counter, expose.
- Proposed only: ethical two-layer evidence, prediction locking, protected matching, command-role discrimination, and ritual reversal.
- Unresolved: exact hierarchy lock, technical permissions, reactivation act, automatic versus manipulated powers, reset limits, evidence custody, venue, and reveal order.
- Retired/superseded: Samuel as owner of the original conquest project; the old short rampage chronology; inheritance as the legitimate civilizations' positive center.
Active development boundary
SC-010 Question 5 remains the only current author gate. The weekly synthesis does not answer it or replace the current checklist.
Confidence and source notes
High confidence in the macro delta because it is repeated across CURRENT.md, CURRENT-PICKUP.md, decisions, and updated compiled notes. Medium confidence in scene and evidence recommendations because their mechanisms remain working or proposed. Research-derived items remain explicitly non-canon.
