Sylvan Elaria is the younger leader carrying evidence capable of bringing down the Throne figure's hidden regime. Near the end of the Throne figure's long period of concealed authority, Sylvan occupies an unusual position: he has enough knowledge to understand the deception, enough evidence to prove important parts of it, and enough standing to force a confrontation, but not enough unilateral power to simply dictate the outcome.
His role is therefore built around disclosure rather than conquest. He is dangerous to the Throne because he can make private conduct public and force people who have lived inside competing versions of reality to confront evidence that cannot easily be explained away.

Sylvan appears approximately 40 years old. He should look like a capable adult who has already accumulated substantial experience, not a youthful chosen-one archetype and not an immaculate statesman. His face carries intelligence, fatigue, restraint, and the sense that he has spent a long time watching other people underestimate the consequences of their actions.
He is physically grounded and naturally self-possessed. He does not stand at attention and should not look ceremonial, militarized, royal, or eager to perform authority. His posture is relaxed enough to suggest confidence but alert enough to show that he understands the danger around him. He looks like someone who expects to have to prove what he says.
His clothing should remain practical and understated. The visual contrast with the Throne and George White is important: Sylvan does not need elaborate symbols to establish legitimacy. His authority comes from competence, evidence, composure, and his willingness to remain present when the manufactured narratives around him begin collapsing.

His possession of the recordings reinforces this aspect of him: he does not merely accuse the Throne figure; he has preserved a record.
He is not conceived as emotionally blank. The evidence matters because the events matter to him. However, his anger is most effective when controlled. Against people who rely on intimidation, mythology, status, or manipulation, Sylvan's refusal to perform fear becomes its own form of power.

Dramatic function
Sylvan is the person capable of forcing hidden conduct into the open. The climactic conflict works because his strength is not unlimited power. The environment constrains both sides, preventing either Sylvan or the Throne figure from simply imposing an outcome.
That turns their struggle into a contest over evidence, credibility, allegiance, interpretation, and consequence. Sylvan's advantage is that the Throne's mythology becomes increasingly difficult to maintain once documented contradictions accumulate.
Relationship to George White
George White is not simply another enemy for Sylvan to defeat. George has spent most or all of his meaningful life inside a manufactured understanding of himself and his position. Sylvan therefore potentially confronts someone who may be implicated in the Throne's system while also being one of its most profoundly manipulated inhabitants.
Their visual opposition should preserve that ambiguity. Sylvan is around forty and facing forward into a reality he increasingly understands. George is around seventy-five and facing the destruction of the reality that has defined his entire life.
The important dramatic question is not simply whether Sylvan can expose George. It is what Sylvan does when exposure begins destroying George's identity in real time.
