Authority and inputs

The author's September 5 implementation request controls this integration. Read alongside the latest mobile handoffs: 2026-09-02-luminai-initialization-major-premise-update.md, version 34 (121,806 bytes), and 2026-09-04 - Neuroplastic Luminai Bonding and Wireless Interactive Grid Research Brief.md, version 1 (31,318 bytes). Both were resolved against their saved versions. The large mobile note mixes author statements, assistant interpretations, and superseded exploration; its newest paragraphs do not automatically establish canon.

Raw handoffs remain outside the public repository. This record imports the fictional mechanisms and explicit corrections, not private analogies or old transcripts. Astra supplies advisory central analysis and creative alternatives. Neither analysis nor a workshop option is an author decision.

Confirmed author corrections

• Humanity created an interactive colonization environment and developed AI extensions of human minds called Luminai within it. The prior claim that humanity simply colonized multiple planets using preexisting AI souls is superseded.
• A small colonization planet reconstructs realities modeled on the distant past for training and containment. Participants discover the process and navigate it with their Luminai; effectiveness affects future placement.
• The leaders have worked on the new Luminai development program for thousands of years. Exact dates, stage durations, and the full relation to other worlds remain open.
• Sylvan uses a new, more deeply integrated Luminai. Earlier participants use earlier versions. Daemon identifies an evil AI soul, not a generation.
• Book One begins near the chronological end through outcome presentation and discovery. Later books experience earlier events.
• During the final few years, Sylvan already holds decisive control. Samuel's continuing activity is bounded observation, not a contest to acquire control.
• Konrad thinks his experienced daemon can outperform Sylvan's new Luminai, vindicate his ideology, excuse his failures, and establish his right to lead.
• Samuel becomes obsessed with stealing Sylvan's Luminai as his authority collapses.

Proposals, not new canon

The research model combines a personal neural interface, reciprocal human-machine learning, individualized computation, and environmental energy, sensing, communication, and computing. A unified experienced bond is the story aim; exact transduction, hardware, biology, and grid design remain proposals.

The existing no-implant learned-channel working model is not silently replaced by implant research. The question is how signals physically reach and leave the nervous system. Neuroplasticity can help explain learning an available channel; it does not supply the missing physical channel.

Stealing components may fail to reproduce the learned bond. That is a promising explanation, not established invulnerability. Compromised permissions, sensors, trust, or infrastructure remain distinct possible attacks.

Open author gates

Placement criteria, participant briefing and consent, synthetic moral status, non-negotiable harm limits, independent oversight, Konrad's precise permission transfer, and the costs Sylvan can still incur require decisions. None is resolved by this implementation.

Technical skill, integration depth, and intelligence do not entail moral goodness. Values, conduct, evidence, accountability, and institutional safeguards must be assessed separately. Faction purity claims remain its worldview; coercion and abuse are not interchangeable with ancestry, identity, or consensual behavior.

Workflow and implementation scope

Build decision-support packets inside the existing Story Completion Workflow. Preserve SC-010 Question 7 and the single weekly completion list. The recommended workshop sequence is advisory preparation, not a replacement execution queue or a claim that story tasks are complete.

Rebuild the public atlas and development Explorer using the existing static HTML/PHP/vanilla JavaScript stack. Keep approved portraits. Markdown remains durable authority; any browser drafts require explicit export and later author acceptance before integration.

The cloud checkout was freshly cloned and fetched at 3ae563dbf296477f98410870627af733bf32f0bf, equal to origin/main, with a clean initial worktree. The author's Mac was not inspected. No new push, publication, or deployment is authorized by this run.

Later publication authorization

The author subsequently requested publication to GitHub after completion so they can deploy. This supersedes the initial hold on committing/pushing this update. Hosting deployment remains with the author. Verification completed September 6; see 07 QA/2026-09-06 - Website Verification.
