Seeds of the Throne

Seeds of the Throne began as years of conversations and thousands of story ideas. The Project Explorer shows how those ideas are being organized into characters, a world, a timeline, and a finished series.

Interpretive still life of recovered records aligned against hidden-system evidence.

Recovered records held against the working evidence.

Story development tools

See how the authoring system turns ordinary language into finished story work.

The Project Explorer shows the live notes, decisions, and workshop used to develop Seeds of the Throne. Each step keeps confirmed decisions separate from suggestions and unanswered questions.

This is a public, read-only look at the real project, so it contains full spoilers. You can try the workshop, but your draft stays in this browser unless you export it.

  1. The author explains the story in ordinary language.

The system records those ideas and separates confirmed decisions from suggestions and unanswered questions.

Read how the system is designed
  2. The current workshop asks one consequential question at a time.

Each question helps the author decide a missing cause, character choice, relationship, world rule, or event.

    Open a workshop question
  3. Accepted answers are added where they belong.

An accepted decision can update character notes, the timeline, world rules, plot events, and the list of remaining questions.

    Review decisions and supporting information
  4. Use the completed plan to write and revise scenes.

The planned system will create scene outlines, draft prose, check continuity, revise weak sections, and assemble the manuscript for the author's approval.

Vault overview

See the whole story-development system at a glance.

605 notes work together as one system. The vault remembers where ideas came from, what the author decided, what remains uncertain, and what should happen next.

The vault turns conversations into organized story memory. It preserves sources, separates decisions from suggestions, finds missing connections, supports research and workshops, prepares scenes and prose, checks continuity, and publishes selected material without surrendering author control.

Needs repair

  • One trustworthy current-state view
  • Automatic checks before a change is merged
  • Shared labels and stable record identifiers
  • Updating every affected note after a decision
  • Keeping the weekly cycle current
  • Clearer boundaries around older folders
  • A cleaner split between the repository and the live site

Planned next Not built yet

  • Durable integration of conversational answers
  • Automatic reports of what a decision would change
  • Complete scene-to-manuscript production
  • Manuscript assembly and export
  • Reliable mobile save, resume, and synchronization

The next build order

  1. Make builds and checks reliable.
  2. Create one trustworthy current state.
  3. Normalize the records for one small complete path.
  4. Connect accepted decisions to every affected file.
  5. Prove one complete path from conversation to approved manuscript material.
  6. Expand only after that path works.

Current story development

See what the story already has and what it still needs.

The system checks the whole story for missing causes, weak character decisions, unclear rules, and unfinished events. The results show the author what to work on next.

Current story premise

The colonization process trains participants and contains dangerous criminals.

Humanity developed the Luminai inside an interactive colonization environment. Sylvan and his Luminai are tested against Samuel Franklin, a criminal already held inside the containment process.

The current story problem Make the formal separation, rapid financial collapse, processing, exposure, and accepted placement feel inevitable.

Cast

Names remain functional designations unless stated otherwise. Samuel Franklin, Konrad Fitzgerald, George White, Sylvan Elaria, and Orzai are established names.

The Witness

Earlier-era legitimate heir and possible Thread A protagonist. The leading working candidate is one of Orzai's parents, a child of the second-largest empire's founders placed into a constrained Great War role for development and training. The Witness lives through multiple identities and repeatedly revises their explanation of the world. They want one person to believe their account and understand more than their clearance permits. Which parent carries the role, what the other parent believes, and what survives into Orzai's generation remain unresolved.

Sylvan / the Inheritor

Sylvan Elaria carries the modern Inheritor role. He is the first human in the bridge world's complete real-world process to develop through the new, deeply and continuously integrated Luminai architecture. He and Orzai are placed in the same environment, resist Samuel's attempt to make each appear irrational to the other, develop their separate bonds under attack, and earn the option to secure a House together. During the final few years they already hold decisive control; their influence rises as Samuel's contracts.

The Protagonist

The tested first-person narrator follows a recurrence clue into questions about a supposedly settled war and the continued survival of defeated leaders. Sylvan now carries the Inheritor role and is the leading primary protagonist. The remaining question is whether he is the sole primary narrator or the Great War Witness owns substantial earlier viewpoint material.

Samuel Franklin

Approximately 220 years old at the Sylvan showdown, though visually appearing in his late sixties to early seventies. Samuel is a highly intelligent failed privileged heir and master manipulator. He remains physically contained on a previous colonization planet. In Book One he claims control of Sylvan through George's direct participation on the newer planet. As exposure closes, he tries to blame George for everything, preserve continuity through Samuel Jr., and induce Sylvan to accept a customized false bargain. The process ends his strategy by reaching a conclusion with no further deals or moves.

Konrad Fitzgerald

Brilliant ideological patriarch, effective criminal strategist, persuasive cult leader, breeding-program architect, and original Great War conquest leader. Konrad creates collective obedience through historical destiny, grievance, ritual, belonging, selective paternal warmth, moral certainty, and disciplined institutional capture. He is profoundly arrogant, cannot accept consequential defeat, and is desperate always to remain the winner. After the Great War should end his experiment, he voluntarily remains because he believes his experienced Daemon can dominate Samuel, outperform Sylvan's successor Luminai, redeem every failure, and restore his authority. Samuel exploits this need by disguising shared containment as autonomous command. Konrad builds believers; Samuel builds dependencies.

Approximately 300 years old at the Sylvan showdown, as is his still-unnamed senior partner. Original ideological and genealogical leader of the contained purity faction. Konrad is a true fanatic rather than a glory-seeking opportunist. He holds genuine control in his own city, builds the breeding program around a closed Fitzgerald lineage, has a son and daughter with his sister during the Great War, and has one genuine grandson before Samuel's later interventions. He plans Samuel's failure but never considers that his own Great War could fail or builds a post-defeat fallback. Only after losing the Great War and entering the largest empire's containment environment does he misunderstand Samuel's bounded jurisdiction and reactivate Fitzgerald machinery there. Samuel remains socially beneath him while gaining structural advantage. Konrad later gives Samuel further access after Samuel claims he can solve hereditary consequences while preserving or enhancing the line. Samuel introduces unauthorized mixed-race descendants, false genealogies, and synthetic substitutions while letting Konrad believe a large dynasty is flourishing. Sylvan ultimately reconstructs the real family tree and exposes both Samuel's betrayal and Konrad's responsibility for building the system Samuel weaponized.

Konrad's approved late-containment visual identity is an older, tall, broad, clean-shaven man with a square face, heavy jaw, and close-cropped iron-gray hair. During Book One he is isolated inside a counterfeit victory while his inner circle recognizes Samuel's takeover pattern before he does.

George White

Samuel's son and the older criminal network's direct participant on Sylvan's newer colonization planet. Samuel and Konrad remain physically contained on the previous planet, so George supplies access Samuel cannot exercise himself. Samuel weaponizes him against Sylvan and Orzai, then tries to blame him for the entire system and continue through Samuel Jr.

George is also the primary example of adversarial pattern interpretation. The wireless environment points him toward selected information, his Daemon identifies real or plausible relationships, Samuel supplies a useful false explanation, and later selected cues appear to confirm it. George still chooses and acts, but the provenance, timing, trusted channels, and interpretive frame surrounding those choices have been systematically corrupted. His exact first cue, the lie attached to it, his independent verification opportunity, culpability, possible refusal, communication channel, and final placement remain unresolved.

Sylvan Elaria

Outgoing younger leader preserving evidence that compares the sealed reality record with the public story. His archive can connect George's apparent success, private wrongdoing, failed takeover, humiliation, and containment to Samuel's contradictory post-defeat myth, then connect reproductive manipulation to lineage blackmail across the contained organization. His ethical challenge is exposing the system without turning children and private parentage into public weapons. His leadership development emphasizes reality contact, correction, consent, distributed authority, and restraint rather than inherited override power.

Orzai

Sylvan's intended partner and an emerging colonization leader, one of the two granddaughters descended from both founder couples of the second-largest empire. She belongs to Sylvan's generation and is slightly younger than him. Orzai is somewhat more reserved and introverted than Sylvan: observant, deliberate, selective in disclosure, resistant to crowd pressure, and capable of concise high-leverage intervention. She builds fewer relationships initially but develops deep, durable trust. Her independent development spans health, nutrition, creative design, video, and 3D modeling during a rapid 2015–2020-equivalent surface transition. A working trajectory takes her from human-scale health visualization toward interactive training and population-scale nutrition, care, and habitat systems in colonization. Her vulnerabilities include waiting too long for certainty, carrying information alone, and allowing more visible people to establish the first frame. Her temperament complements Sylvan's outgoing momentum while her agency, ambition, and judgment remain independent. She is not the Witness; one of her Great War-era parents is the leading candidate for that role. Her exact age, parent branch, education, employer, strongest medium, first major project, first meeting with Sylvan, and role in carrying her family's evidence remain unresolved.

Orzai's older brother

The son in Orzai's branch of the founder family and approximately a decade older than Sylvan. He is placed for development and training inside a consequential company similar in institutional importance and capability to the government-integrated decision-systems company associated with Samuel's replacement heir. He provides a legitimate-heir counterpart whose name, exact authority, constraints, company mandate, and relationship to Samuel Jr. remain unresolved.

Samuel Jr. / the other son

Secretly created through Samuel's abuse of the breeding program involving Konrad Fitzgerald's sister. Samuel Jr. is provisional. He is Samuel's preferred respectable replacement heir and leads a fictional government-integrated intelligence and decision-systems company operating across defense, intelligence, public safety, infrastructure, logistics, and colonization administration. The company's identity resolution, relationship mapping, behavioral inference, and synthetic/human reconciliation capabilities may expose the hidden genealogy Samuel needs concealed. Samuel Jr. remains a person rather than merely evidence or a contingency.
