Altered Reality Endgame Reassessment
Result
The new layer strengthens the endgame because Samuel's current attempt against Sylvan now performs three functions at once: immediate attack, reconstruction of the postwar capture, and proof that other leaders were recruited through the same false autonomy.
It does not reopen the accepted ending. It supplies the causal route from Konrad and Aiden targeting Sylvan to Konrad's established decision to join Sylvan's exposure plan.
Established additions
- Aiden Fitzgerald is Konrad's biological son and a younger public leader.
- Konrad and Aiden have remained inside a postwar altered reality maintained through story functionality, reactivated systems, controlled interpretation, and their own ideological commitments.
- Samuel tries to repeat the same trap against Sylvan.
- Konrad and Aiden target Sylvan before the repetition is exposed.
- The live trap becomes evidence of Samuel's old access and his use of the captured group to recruit other leaders.
Continuity findings
| Classification | Impact | Finding | Handling |
|---|
| Drift | significant | Older notes sometimes use “simulated reality” literally, while the physical-world rule establishes real environments. | Use altered reality for Samuel's controlled narrative and interpretive layer inside a physically real environment. |
| Sequence tension | significant | Konrad is already recorded as committed to Sylvan, while the new layer requires Konrad and Aiden to attack him. | Place the attack before the evidence convergence and make the exposed repetition the cause of Konrad's commitment. |
| Gap | blocking | The exact prophecy, rival role, offer to Sylvan, and consent event are undefined. | Route these questions to EG-02, EG-04, and EG-07 without inventing them. |
| Gap | significant | Aiden's independent knowledge, agency, and final choice are undefined. | Give Aiden his own character record and preserve his post-exposure decision as an author gate. |
| Boundary | blocking | Samuel's control could be misread as control of the governing process. | Preserve bounded story influence, local permissions, voluntary authorization, sealed evidence, and formal process authority outside Samuel. |
Structural recommendation
Use the endgame as a nested reveal:
Konrad and Aiden attack Sylvan -> Sylvan refuses the assigned role -> Samuel revises the story -> the Resistance connects the live pattern to postwar reactivation -> false autonomy becomes visible -> other leaders recognize their versions of the trap -> Konrad changes sides -> Samuel's repetition fails
The story remains a puzzle because the reader receives correct fragments in the wrong grouping. The reveal succeeds when one present action explains the Great War aftermath, the sacred-program capture, the hidden hierarchy, the recruitment of other leaders, and Samuel's offer to Sylvan.
Remaining author gates
- The prophecy and rival identity assigned to Sylvan.
- The precise consent or activation Samuel needs.
- Aiden's first attack and later independent decision.
- The live contradiction that allows the inner circle to recognize the repetition.
- The Resistance fragment that authenticates the historical connection.
- The first additional leader or group whose altered reality becomes visible.
