title: Hidden leadership hierarchy
gate: How does each group discover the layer above its beloved leaders and identify Samuel as the source of the attack?
prerequisites: EG-01
EG-02: Hidden leadership hierarchy
Purpose
Make the endgame hierarchy understandable while preserving the separation between public leaders, contained leaders, participant groups, and Sylvan.
Established
Participant groups follow younger public leaders. A previously unknown layer of contained criminal leaders sits above them. Samuel has terrorized and manipulated younger leaders, including George White, while attempting to redirect group loyalty against Sylvan. Sylvan is outside this hierarchy. Once participants understand who has actually been attacking their leaders, Samuel's attempt to weaponize loyalty begins to backfire.
Aiden Fitzgerald is Konrad's biological son and a younger public leader. Samuel uses the altered reality surrounding Konrad and Aiden to define Sylvan as a rival and direct both men against him. Their attack reveals how the older contained layer can control younger leaders while allowing the public groups to believe their own hierarchy remains independent.
Konrad and Aiden sincerely believe they lead an original holy order placed by divine purpose. The prophecy predates Samuel and was not created by their group. Samuel's hidden hierarchy works by counterfeiting the authority to apply its mission, signs, promised reward, and enemy role to Sylvan. Related leaders may follow different original religious stories; the repeated structure is captured interpretation, not one universal doctrine.

Four possibilities
- Leader testimony first: younger leaders disclose the pressure they have concealed before the structural evidence arrives.
- Participant comparison first: separate groups compare identical manipulation patterns and force their leaders to answer.
- Contained-layer exposure first: verified records reveal the upper hierarchy, then each group recognizes how it affected its own leader.
- Live altered-reality reversal: Konrad and Aiden act against Sylvan, Samuel revises the supposedly sacred interpretation when the attack fails, and the repeated pattern exposes his control across several groups at once.
Central author gate
What is the first verifiable contradiction in Konrad and Aiden's attack that lets ordinary participants distinguish sincere faith and loyalty to their own leaders from obedience to Samuel's counterfeit sacred authority?
Scene test
At least two groups independently change behavior because the hierarchy becomes visible, rather than because Sylvan asks them to trust him.
Adversarial test
If every participant learns the whole hierarchy through one speech, the discovery feels imposed. If Sylvan appears inside the hierarchy, the central relationship is misrepresented.
