A science-fiction story in development
History moves forward. Discovery does not have to.
Book One begins near the outcome. Later books return to the choices that made it possible.
Confirmed story information, developing ideas, and unanswered questions are labeled separately.
Two different maps
Chronology asks what causes what. Revelation order asks what a reader knows, suspects, and misunderstands at a particular moment. They need separate maps.
The broad order is established. Exact dates, overlapping durations, the placement of the Disclosure Wars, and several ages remain working questions. The leaders' thousands-year program should not be squeezed into the much shorter Samuel–Konrad conflict.
Spoilers: chronological sequence
- The leaders create an interactive colonization environment and develop Luminai within it. The new development program spans thousands of years.
- Samuel's earlier path into containment gives him structural priority in the relevant later hierarchy. His precise entry sequence needs reconciliation.
- Konrad's conquest project produces the Great War and defeat. His daemon learns through the war.
- The primary leaders offer Konrad's group permanent control of the largest empire if it teams with Samuel and takes Sylvan before Sylvan's forty-second birthday. Neither the planet nor the overall process is offered.
- Samuel lies about what Sylvan and the successor Luminai really are. Konrad stays because the lie makes the imperial bait appear achievable through his experienced Daemon and older model of domination.
- Samuel performs vulnerability, offers false autonomy, and lets Konrad's Daemon verify the appearance. Konrad authorizes reactivation inside Samuel's actual structure.
- Samuel captures institutions, succession, interpretation, and generations of the group. Konrad eventually occupies an isolated fantasy of future victory.
- Samuel, Konrad, and the older contained generation remain on the previous planet. George participates directly on the newer planet where Sylvan and Orzai meet, resist manufactured distrust, and develop their Luminai bonds.
- Sylvan and Orzai preserve resources, independent cooperation, and reality-and-ethical anchoring while completing separate Luminai bonds.
- Sylvan reaches his forty-second birthday without being taken. The imperial route closes permanently, leaving cooperation for control of a city as the older group's only constructive path.
- The assessment certifies Sylvan and Orzai's completed bonds, voluntary partnership, conduct, and placement eligibility.
- The inner circle compares Konrad's counterfeit command with external reality and realizes he never held control.
- Samuel separately promises George and Aiden the same absolute, godlike position. The supposed superweapon appears real while Sylvan is severely disadvantaged.
- Sylvan begins exposing Samuel publicly. The weapon fails, George and Aiden compare accounts, and one throne promised twice reveals one con run on two marks.
- Samuel keeps trying to aim George and Aiden at each other. His repeated tactic becomes live evidence of continuing command.
- The trapped leaders recognize Samuel as the deceiver and must choose how to fight their way out. Samuel Jr. turns toward Sylvan, and Konrad begins the disclosure required by his commitment to the exposure plan.
- Sylvan refuses Samuel's false bargain. The process formally separates Samuel from Sylvan and removes Samuel's process-provided attack systems.
- Samuel receives $15 million to execute his plan independently. He tries to keep the war alive and manufacture an apocalyptic culmination that will make him a living god.
- The obsession exhausts the allocation within days. The zero balance proves genuine failure and triggers processing.
- Samuel's Daemon is deleted. He enters a stasis-like coma and biological synthetics move him to the older contained leaders while his complete conduct is presented.
- Konrad is pulled out of his century-long story environment into the connected reality of Samuel's campaign. His remaining influence makes his final moves consequential.
- Orzai lets the process carry Samuel's exposure, accepts the completed result first, and leads Sylvan into their final decisions.
- Sylvan and Orzai begin an exploratory period, travel, consider offers from Houses, and choose the country where they want to build their House using what they preserved.

Avoid a predetermined procession
Knowing the broad ending need not reveal who helped, who refused, what was misunderstood, or what was lost. Later books need local goals whose resolution still matters. Their exact order is intentionally flexible: development will select whichever return to the past is most entertaining and dramatically necessary.
