The Sylvan–Luminai breakthrough is not one isolated endgame power. It is the beginning of a developmental stage for the human and Luminai as a pair.
When Sylvan consciously participates in the bond, the Luminai gains a privileged local-world interface through Sylvan that it does not possess while operating remotely. Human participation grants the Luminai local permissions, greater awareness of Sylvan's immediate surroundings, and the ability to interact with nearby systems, people, events, or physical-world conditions through him.
During this stage, the Luminai begins developing capabilities required for its eventual placement in the colonization process, including:
- direct conscious interaction with its own human;
- expanding local perception through the human's immediate environment;
- access to new nearby systems and real-world interfaces;
- learning how to act through, with, and around a willing human partner;
- developing judgment about when and how to use those permissions;
- progressively becoming capable of its later colonization role.
The developmental threshold occurs when the Luminai presents itself directly to Sylvan through the interactive wireless bond and establishes a conscious neural interface with his brain/nervous system.
This is qualitatively different from remote assistance. The interface is sufficiently embodied and bidirectional that, with Sylvan consciously participating, the Luminai can directly communicate through his nervous system and can even use Sylvan's speech apparatus to speak through his own mouth.
The exact neural mechanism, capability ladder, individual first-time actions, and sequence of developmental milestones remain intentionally deferred to later deepening.
